Any suggestions for shocks?

Over on Yotatech the consensus is 90k on the V6s and it's a non-interference engine so the risk is you'll just be stuck somewhere if it breaks.

I was wondering about this as well. When I took our '97 SR5 V6 in for its 60k service at a Firestone shop, I asked about the timing belt and they did not see it listed as needing replacement at 60k.

It's weird because the service manual only lists timing belt replacements for the severe driving schedule, which really only counts if you're using your Runner as a taxi cab, police car, or drive exclusively on dusty roads. I'm at 72k now and will probably have it replaced at 90k.

Don't even worry about the timing belt... The recommend replacement at the stealership is at 90K... t-belt, water pump,
might as well replace the following items: drive belts, t-belt tensioner pulley, idler pulley, t-stat, camshaft seals, crankseal..
and BTW the belts can last over 100k... with no problems...
Ask me how i know... I work for Lexus, and i'm a certified techican
i've seen older es300 "V6", ls400 "V8" with over 140k on the timing belt, but the belt was so cracked it was about it break...
Anyways my runner has tokico Trek-masters p front and bilsteins in the rear, and lifted with the Rev-tech kit, hehe, my runner handles like my bmw's....

Thanks for the info. Its nice to get some advice from a tech who is not out to see how much money you can spend. I was just going by the charts for my vehicle. Thanks
