duuude Moab is the bees knees. i went there for TACO takeover (giant tacomaworld wheeling meet) and its crazy how many awesome trails there were.

plus the west (specifically southwest) has so much open space with dirt and rocks to play on. i spent this past summer in Durhamn, NC and there is just too many trees out there, and people. i was trying to describe how you can see for like 80 miles when driving around the SW states and they couldnt imagine it lol

I love the original MT/Rs...got a really good deal on them.

They do great in clay, mud, dirt, rock and sand. They flex well when aired down, and float decently in the snow. They do lack lateral traction, and don't do the best on ice since they're not siped or studded.

They actually outperformed Duratracs in the snow on a recent trip, but I was aired-down to 15psi, and the Duratracs were @ 20.

All in all, I really like them and would buy them again if they still made them. Might go with the Kevlars next time, or maybe MTZs or Trail Grapplers.

good to know. i was lookin for new tires untill a few days ago.

this weekend im picking up 5 KM2's that have like 7k miles on them for $400! they even still have the little tire pubes that the new tires have. a fellow tacomaworld member is being generous since he knows im a poor college kid. im pumped!

Damn, that's a kick-ass deal!!! I got this set of MTR (285/70R17s) brand-new for $550 which was a killer deal that I couldn't pass up.

Next time I'm thinking about going with the Kevlars, Baja MTZ, Trail Grappler, Cooper STT, or Destination MT. If they still made these original MTRs, I would def. run them again. I would get the Treadwright Guard Dogs, but I just don't feel comfortable enough running re-treads on my DD (just a personal preference).

Thats exactly how i feel! i almost pulled the trigger on some used guard dogs a week ago but decided not too. thankfully i didnt because they were also $400 for 5 of them and they had less tread than my future km2s
