i would like to raise my gas tank for clearance. has anyone done this (without relocating everything)
any way to raise gas tank with BL

On a 4Runner. Not going to happen.
The tank bolts to the rear cross member. Lifting that crossmember is more of a PITA than anything.
IF you find a way to get that cross member up, you now have to figure out how you're going to raise the strap for the tank. Another massive PITA.
Next, you have to contend with the body. The max ammount of lift you're going to get is going to be somewhere in the area of 2". The gas tank hangs down 3-4".
I went through the same thing with trying to figure something out with my tank.
You could bash it in, but that limits your capicity.
That's why I built my own gas tank. I'm going to mount it behind the rear axle where the spare tire use to be. 45 gal.
Going to run 3/16" or 1/4" plate under it for a skid plate to keep it protected.
I need to get on a ramp and get some measurements of her fully flexed so I can mod the tank to the flex angles.

I know the first gen runner guys move there tanks up all the time it involes cutting and welding, so if your into a good rpoject theres one for ya.

Any moving is going to involve an a$$ load of work. Might be easier to buy a bomber gas tank skid. Hello Gerdo, you there? Check out lil' skips skids or something along those lines. sorry just got done hosting xmas eve dinner and too much wine coursing through my body.:guitar2:
