:nono: I'm sorry but so far I've only learned how to remove tar from titanium 4Runner So if You ever have that kind of problem You can count on me. :

BTW How did your PCATs go ?

Anyone know of any off-roading locations in Illinois? My roommate and I have been doing some country driving out of Champaign, IL in an effort to scout. We found a mud road that looks promising about 20 minutes out of Champaign. The location was approximately 40.21856 degrees North, 88.36943 degrees West, on CR-500 in Champaign County, near Mahomet, IL

We only had one vehicle (my 4runner), and I was not feeling brave enough to try and drive over the wooden bridge that went over a bit of water there.

Anyone want to meet up in the chicago area during Thanksgiving week, or around the Christmas holiday?

Anyone know of any off-roading locations in Illinois?

I know that this Sunday few guys are going to test theirs SUVs at Lake Geneva Raceway. They have there place for offroading. It's not that far away from Chicago. They will meet there about 10 am and I'm sure You could go with them. If you are interested let me know.

From the great city of Des Plaines, Yes! Count me in. I have some time off during Thanksgiving week. You know what would be cool is to find a muli-level parking garage with an open roof with a nice view of the skyline of Chicago. Group picture???

But i'm a bit nervous of all your nice lookin runners. I got me an 87 that aint' the best lookin toy out there. Can someone tell me how to put up pics here so you can all check it out. I mean its not all beat to S**t but does have some rust. And does this mean that I have to wash it? ha ha .

i'm up for a meet also this thanksgiving week. However i'd prefer Saturday only because i'll have foot surgery on the 22nd of this month, and I was hoping to recover thanksgiving week.
Let's confirm early so we can get as many runners as possible.

i will confirm the meet this friday or saturday because i have to see when we can get access to the garage. in the meantime...what else will we do after the photo shoot though? and MWS, anyone is welcome...the more the merrier. this is not about shiny 4runners. it is about passionate 4runner owners! every time i see a 1st or 2nd gen drive by. i always think about how cool it would be to restore one. i only know of one clean 2nd gen i see driving around, and she's a beauty. hey P53MUSTANG, are there any other days besides saturday that you can meet? remember guys, we need to figure out what else to do, so any more ideas?

Clean or dirty..... it doesn't matter. I hope You will be able to come. Since I bought mine for me it doesn't matter which generation it is..as long it is 4Runner I'm checking it out...

Maybe we should start new thread in T4R Meet Announcements & Info and post something there from time to time to keep it as a “new posts”. Maybe that way more people will join us because I'm sure that there are many more people from around Chicago who are only browsing this forum.. Last Sunday I met a guy who was offroading in Lake Geneva in his 2003 SR5 and I told him about our meet so maybe he’ll come too.
