Charlotte area (Mountain Island Lake) checking in. Who's got a local shop they recommend for installing a lift on a KDSS-equipped truck?
I'm in Matthews and just picked up an sr5. Also curious if anyone has recs for a shop to do a lift around Charlotte area?
I used to wheel Uwharrie a bit back in the day in a tacoma. Plan to hit it when it reopens for the season in April. Also plan to hit Brown Mtn OHV in April, which I'm very familiar with from riding motos. I'll post up here when I go

Bought my 2019 ORP from Toyota of North Charlotte. Made the 6 hour drive up and 6 hour drive back. Couldn't have been happier with the purchase or the service. You guys were fantastic.

I’m in GSO/Oak Ridge. I did my ‘16 with KDSS and getting ready to lift my ‘20 without KDSS. It’s not hard if you have done much suspension work. Carolina Truggies now CT raceworx I believe is good. At least they used to be. They specialize in Jeeps, but could probably handle it. Been a long time since I had my JK down there. Used to be in Indian Trail and moved.

I’ve used Tarheel 4wd for years. They specialize in jeeps but work on everything. They used to be in Charlotte, now they’re just outside in Midland.

I'm not from Charlotte but for those interested Asheville Vehicle Outfitters does trail rides around the area for all levels. They do vehicle builds as well.

I drove down to Dave Edwards Toyota in Spartanburg, SC. I got my 2020 from them right when they were first arriving in the US. They were more than willing to allocate a vehicle and customize the port-installed options with the exact set-up I wanted. The other local dealers (Hendrick, Scott Clark, etc.) were more interested in pushing a 2019 on me. One sales rep even tried to convince me that all TRD Off-Roads came with KDSS ?!?!?! Dave Edwards also came in at the best price at that time for the new vehicle sale and gave me the best offer on my trade-in. Haven't used them for anything else, but it was a pretty low stress transaction. Dealt mainly with one of their online sales rep and was texting back and forth. Financing rate was very high, but I immediate re-financed with a local credit union without penalty.
