My first-look thought was "that's sick!", but the more I look at it, the less I like it. I think it makes a clean 4Runner look messy.
I'm not opposed to graphics, but that isn't doin anything for me.

Meh.. not my style. I think something similar to this would look sweet , of course I think it would only look good on certain colored vehicles.

I think it's your rig and you should do whatever the funk makes your little heart happy. Individualism is what makes this forum, these trucks, and life in general so much fun. You've obviously got the talent to make it happen, if you don't like it, peel it off and start over! I must add that I do really like some of the retro inspired graphics similar to what Spunk has done. Make yourself happy man, none of us (should) really matter much in your world anyway.

I LOVEE the 80s colors but I don't think it would flow with my color truck and the bronze wheels.
I was worried it would make the truck look messy also but both sides are only 50 bucks thinking of just trying it to see if it grows on me and if not it was only 50 bucks.
any other decals you all have seen? i've been on google for days now with no luck on 3rd gens
I really like the factory 1st and 2nd gen side decal. Recreating that would be a cool retro look.

I ran across these side decals which looks pretty factory. I'd be tempted to run a set if there was a place to get them. They are similar enough to the 80's "Back to the Future" style decals but fit the 3rd gen lines better.
Might also look better on the rear door instead to match the rear flare shape back there.

I love the look of the Old School decals. If there's a way to put them on, and match the body lines) the 3rd Gen, I think that's the best of both worlds.

It's your rig, do what you want. Reminds me of the tribal art people used to put on their tuners in the Bay Area. Some people were very creative with color & patterns.
Decals can be removed if you ever get tired of them as well.
