Anybody here use Adams Polishes on their 5th gen?

I'm looking to start washing my own car and it seems like they have a hundred different products. Have any of you used their stuff and have any recommendations on what to use?

Right now I'm looking at the rinseless wash, glass cleaner, tire and trim combo, and interior detailer.

What do you guys use or maybe even think isn't really worth it?

I have been using Adams for many years now (on my current 5th gen as well my previous vehicles) and have nothing but good things to say. They are USA made, their customer service is AWESOME and products work great and are easy to use. Depending on what your goals are there are different things that would be worth getting.

If you are starting from scratch I would do the following:

Go to Lowes/Home Depot and buy 2 of the 5 gallon all purpose buckets
Get their car shampoo a good washing mit and good drying towel.

Beyond that it is personal preference. The rinse less wash works well if you keep it pretty clean most of the time, as is the waterless wash.

For sealant/wax I use the quick sealant which I don't think they offer any more so just take your pick.

They also have a TON of tutorials on their site that you can watch through. I used to do a LOT of detailing so have most of their product offering. Unfortunately I don't have the time any more to keep the 4 runner looking as good as I would like.

I don't think you will be disappointed with whatever you order from them and if for some reason you are, just send it back and get your $ back.

No idea on Adams or most DYI polishes.
- I only use the following two products, and lots of overlap in these brands
Example a) more for perfect paint b) more for restoring, car finishes / both products achieve, same end result.

I've used both products on clear coat urethane paint & chrome.
a) as a general wax or polish, exterior & alloy rims
b) as a wax or polish like a) but when light scratches, paint oxidation (severe dulling) &/or light rust, is present
- and for removing head light haze / even light collision-parking lot scrapes

I use chemical guys. I just did a full paint protection on my 1 day old 16 Trail and it looks amazing

Optimum no rinse and shine is by far the best waterless wash product out right now. If you are comfortable with a polisher, carpro makes a polish called essence that has a small amount of filler for the smaller scratches. Top that off with carpro Hydro2, which is a wipeless sealant and holds up better than a coat of wax.

I've never used Adam's products before but have heard great things about them.

I will start using them as my wife and kids surprised me Christmas day with a big Adams detail kit. It couldn't have come at a better time too, I'm running low on my car wash soap and waxes and both 4Runners are filthy.

No matter what coating one uses, ceramic, nano beeds....whatever, it still needs to be washed and you are better off by using quality shampoos and detail solutions.

Adams polishes are amazing. I clay bared and waxed my 2000 yesterday, not only are their products enjoyable to use they are easy and give great results.

The interior detailer is awesome on the 5th gen interior. I also use the leather conditioner on the dash and panels.

Use a porter cable 7424XP or equivalent dual orbital (instead of circular) with mild polishing pads & polish. Start with white polishing pads instead of orange cutting pads, and a mild "polishing" or finishing polish instead of a deep cutting polish, and you'll be on the safer side.

I've use daily tons of other products, but never Adams. I hear they are fine though. Personally, I'd never use a rinse less wash product again, by any brand. The product may be great, but the idea of wiping dirt off a car without the use of water just seems like swirls waiting to happen.

I haven't tried the "new" Buttery wax but the old stuff is pretty awesome! I might have to try their powered buffer.

I used to own my own detailing business on the side, tried many different waxes, polishes, etc. Always something new coming up as the new hotness but I have found Optimum No Rinse to be the best no rinse product out there. Most of the wash soaps by the reputable companies are good, Poor Boys, Chemical Guys, Wolfgang, etc.

Don't fall for the gimmicks that a lot of products claim to go along with their high prices.
