Anybody install an AVIC-X920BT in a 4Gen Limited?

I thought things would go pretty easily....lol!

I installed an AVIC-X920BT in my '06 Limited today...got everything working, including the Axxess ASWC and PAC TATO (I had the JBL 6-disc changer). Using the Metra 95-8210 trim piece.

Problem came when I tried to reinstall the center dash piece. The radio appears to be about 1/8" too low. This is using the factory mounting brackets as specified in the Metra kit. It appears the mounting holes in the Pioneer unit are higher than in the stock JBL unit, causing the radio to be mounted lower.

Anybody else encounter this problem? Are there a different set of mounting brackets that'll place the radio higher?

Also, I'm not sure the Metra trim kit is mounting properly on the radio -- is the face supposed to sit flush? When I look at the trim piece, the rectangular piece on the back side isn't sitting flat against the radio...it looks like the opening is too small. I could really use some help from someone who has mounted this radio in this type of 4Runner!!

Im having trouble with my pioneer avic-z130bt. The motorized face is hitting the bottom trim of the metra dash kit. I actually bought both kits and they both dont work its driving me crazy. I have a 3rd dash kit coming from my installer that hope works.

I installed a z120 a long time ago. It's hard to remember but I remember I mounted the two "bronze" colored bolts directly underneath the face of the unit too soon causing the face to not sit flush. Again, it's tough to remember but I think more of the trim needed to be put in place before those 2 mounting bolts went in making the fit better.

As for opening and closing on the z130. They should be identical or at least close. Trim even has a piece underneath that I thought would be problematic but the slider never touched the piece. Sorry not much help there.

yellossm... I see the lip you're talking about on your other post. z120 doesn't have that so I can see why that might be a problem.

I like that trim kit you used though. I might try to find it.

Ya other than the urban runner OEM trim I think it looks the nicest and doesnt cost $80 like the urban runner one. Also I dont think the urban runner trim fits the limiteds anyways.
