Anybody run 2" spacers in the front?

Any potential pitfalls of running a 2" spacer? I've used 1.25" spacers for over a year with no issues whatsoever, however I'm trying to fit 17" 4th gen/Tacoma sport wheels which have a lot more backspacing than the stock 16s. That combined with 315mm tires, and I'm out of room! You can click my build thread below for more details on that little conundrum.

It seems like a huge spacer, but the scrub radius shouldn't be any bigger than a 1.25" on stock wheels... *I think*:redface:

Just thought I would run this idea by the general tr4 populous before I go spending my money.

FWIW my buddy Stoke is running 33x12.5 toyo mt's on an 18" 4th gen limited rim. I think the bs on those is 5"... i could be wrong but it's much more than stock 3rd gen wheels. Stoke is running 1.5" spacers and there is more than enough clearance from the UCA. A 2" spacer is too much IMO.

Edit... just looked at your build... lol shit man, that must be A LOT of backspacing LOL even with those 1.25" spacers you can't even get the wheel on.
Swap the wheels? :shrug:

Yeah, based on my test fit, I think I will need at least 1.75" but all I could find online was 2" or 1.5". I don't think 1.5" will quite do it. I could buy an aftermarket set of 17's, but with the cost re-mounting and the cost of the wheels themselves, I think I would be much further in the hole than just running spacers.

I ran 2 " spacer from toytec in front of my 2010 T4R Limited, with no problem what so ever, I even put another one on top, a 3/4" spacer and still no problem, I actually just took them off, cause I was given a toytec lift and I put that on, so if your interested in a set of 2" spacers from toytec and they will fit your 99' T4R, let me know
