Anybody used this guy to repair their clock?

I've asked on here several times, but nobody has ever wanted to fix my clock.

So I searched a little online and found this guy on eBay. He charges ~$21 to fix our clocks.

Has anyone ever used him?

I have not; it is only $20, not $200, even with ya being a Clemson student. Do it.

I had a friend that used a guy on Ebay to fix his Tahoe gauge cluster for $160 (the speedo died, the dealer wanted $600) and two years later it still works well.

Just ask Fightman80 though about Fleabay purchases.

I killed my clock tying to solder the connections. Guess I need to work on my soldering skills but now I'm after a clock. I guess $25 shipped is too much after reading this post? Seems like everyone (even on the bay) want gold for this clock!

I tried to fix mine and broke it. It wasn't my first time soldering so its kind of tricky. I then bought a junkyard clock and it was working off and on. I sent it to this guy:

It came back perfect and has worked ever since. He used to have a listing for specifically a 4runner clock, so you may want to message him.

They've come down, then. Several years ago, when mine first died, the e-Bay going rate was about $70. There is probably a higher population of dead 3G 4Runners now.

I just use my HU--my smartphone is mounted in front of the dead clock. I wouldn't fix it if it were free because I like the phone there.

Bought it off some guy that parts them out but guarantees that they'll work. I see if I can find it, it was a while ago.

Well I ended up buying that guy's service today. Sending it out tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. Into it for $22 so far.

when mine died.. I tried pounding on it and it did came back but went away..

so, I just went to an local junkyard and picked it up for about $30 dollars... been an few years down to road and it still works..
