I say this every time I see Carfax in a thread:
It is not as thorough as they claim
You can only tell when the car was registered and where
You CANNOT tell if it has been in an accident, lots of accidents are not shown on Carfax
Only taking it to a mechanic or body shop will reveal accident damage
Carfax is good for confirming title status.
