Took the exact same photo with 3 different exposures then edited them together using software called photomatix.

Oh and I really appreciate you guys helping me, I just tried it outside real quick, I like this program! BUT, I don't have the money to buy the full version to get rid of the watermark. And I appologize for the Silverado being the subject of this experiment, but the 4runner is in the garage(we may have hail within the hour here).

i took it. just kidding. nah not really. just added sharpening in PS maybe a curves adjustment since i do those to most pictures..thats about it from what i remember


HedgehogOutdoors thats a good first try. HDR is difficult and can look cartoony sometimes so i dont mess with it much. if you have PS you can clone or use content aware to remove those watermarks. PS also has a poor mans version of HDR built in

Yeah, HDR can be over-done very easily. I use it all the time for mostly landscape photos especially if there are clouds. HDR worls well for landscape images since they almost always have a large variation in contract and color range. It's sometimes a challenge getting all the bright and dark areas to get along with each other so one area isn't all blown out with highlights and you can pull details out of the shadows. All of the cloud/sunset photos I posted above are HDR's.

yep. i feel bad cause i ruined my friends whisk but.....oh well.

my head moved too much cause i noticed a reflection in the background and i thought it was someone coming to bust us.

where did you do your shot? i was on the beach up in WA state...i live in CO though so not sure wheres a good place to try again

Hahaha, fortunately my buddy bought a whisk for just this purpose that night, but we only had a couple pieces of steel wool so we got lucky that one came out well.

I took it at a friend's lake house standing a few feet into the water, that's why half the sparks didn't bounce.

Yeah, I would NOT recommend trying it in CO right now unless you're in the water
