Anyone drop in an HID kit?

I want to do it on my Saab but the electronics in it are funky and its hit or miss from what i have heard. How well does it work with a '07 4runner? Do you need bulb out cancelers? 35w or 55w system?

I have never seen the need for the 55w system. I just installed a morimoto HID pnp kit from The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications and couldn't be happier with it. It really is top quality. I had issues on my 03 with pnp HID kits, so I definitely recommend using a relay harness. Here's what my 4300K morimotos look like.

Iv had mine in for a year from DDMtuning and theirs no problem with any errors but i second that relay harness i will say that one of my bulb did change color but DDMtuning replaced it for free within the lifetime warranty that comes with there kits

The relay harness connects the ballasts to the battery with a relay so that the heavier draw of the ballasts doesn't hit the stock headlight wiring as hard. I had a number of electrical issues in my 03 without using a relay harness

just please don't do it if your saab has reflector housings. i was in front of a guy last night that would not stop riding my ass. he put an hid kit in his reflectors on his redneck f250 and i wanted to punch his lights out they were so bright.

I have an unopened box of H11 bulbs from DDM Tuning if you are interested. I would sell them for what I paid. I bought them because I thought I had one burn out, but turns out I just had a loose wire. Now, I have no use for it.

save your packaging for return if they send you bulbs that are too long (won't fit LowBeam or Fog)

Oh no no no... please don't install HID kits into reflector headlights. It'll blind everybody in front of you. You might be able to get away with it if you have projector lenses.

u can drop in any hid kit you want, but if u want better output and use, do a complete retrofit.

you can drop HIDs in a reflector housing all day long as long as you remember to aim your lights down
