Anyone else can't get comfortable in the runner?

Checkout a Lexus LX470 or Landcruiser, you could get a used one. It should fit you.

I'm about 6'3" / 235. I have no problems with head/leg/hand space but those side bolsters seem to jab me in the kidneys.. (guess I'm a widebody ) Still trying to get used to it. Some days its fine, other days it bugs....

I am not sure if you want an SUV with 4WD or AWD, but maybe you should look at the SUV's that are built on a car chasis. The few that come to mind are the Highlander, MDX, and X5. The seating position is more comfortable and it is like you are sitting in a high sedan.

granted i have half an inch of headroom in my t4r with the seat moved all the way back and tilted back a bit more then i would like im pretty darn comfortable in my limited and im 6'4 220 lbs i miss the headroom of my fj but what do ya do :girl:

Move your seat back up to a nearly upright angle - like a dining room chair. Then sit upright in the seat, no slouching, and lightly press your shoulder blades against the back of the seat. WIth your arms extended straight out head of you, palms down, place your hands over the top of the wheel at 11 and 1. The wheel should intersect perpendicular to your wrists without having to move your should blades off the seat back.

That's the proper German method for positioning oneself in a driver's seat. I'm 6', 200lbs, and the 4runner's comfortable for me when the ergos are positioned in such a way.

If you're not a big dumb German like me your friends might make fun of you, but trust me - get over the "this feels too proper" hump and you'll never go back.

I'm with you - 6' 7'' / 230. Pretty much the same comments here (Only my last car was an Accord..)

I just got an 03 Limited. I'm 6'0" 180# and I'm finding myself adjusting the seat daily. It's even worse that it doesn't have memory seats so I cannot revert to a previous comfortable setting. My other car is an Audi and the adjustability seems almost infinite in comparison to the 4R. It is my only complaint about the new truck. That, and the armrest is too low and the window sill is too high.

The seats are uncomfortable. It's the bolsters that kill me. Too tight for 6' 1", 220 "muscular build". My back is somewhat built and I can't fit in between the bolsters well, but it's my wife's car so I deal with it (chiropractor).

Thats Funny ... Ive read others who say the same thing ... Im 6`3 220 # And I love it !!!
i take road trips all the time and can sit in there for hours ..I Drive from Phx to dalllas in 16 hrs just stopping for gas and Im good to go ...everyone is differant though .

Might I suggest gargling with some Monistat 7 and rubbing a little Vagisil on your face? This should help with your problem.
