I decided to take the proverbial plunge about 3 weeks ago and start up doing CrossFit when an affiliate (Dropping Plates CrossFit) opened up near where I live/work.
I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life for a workout - including when I was in bootcamp. LOL BUT I'm seeing almost immediate gains in all areas, and improvements in areas I hadn't thought possible.
E.g., prior to starting, my lower back was constantly sore (due to a combination of me not doing strengthening exercises, and a previous back surgery). Now it's not sore in the least - and that's CONSIDERING the fact that I'm doing a TON of exercises that use it (e.g., clean and jerk, deadlift, push press, overhead squat, etc.)
I've also seen my stamina and energy level go through the roof; I've lost 3 lbs, and BMI is down 2 or 3%. :biggrin2:
