Anyone Else Waiting for Their New 4Runner

Just curious, My dealer keeps telling me it is in freight with no new update. Do you know if your status is also considered freight? It has been 2.5 weeks with this update for me and I feel like maybe they just aren't following up.
 
I can't say for sure but I think it would be considered in freight. I talked to them last week and they did not have an update just that it was in que to be built. But today they had a vin number and that it was on a boat headed this way. The week at port was a guess on their part but for sure expecting it the 3rd week of the month. I can't speak to the length of the total process since this truck was one they ordered for inventory and I spoke for it before it was built.
 
I placed my order on August 3rd through Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC.
ETA will be early September - and they will let me know when the 4Runner arrives at port.

I decided I couldn't keep waiting for information on the 6th gens plus I really like the front look of the current 5th gen so I jumped.
Went with the SR5 Premium 4x4 because it had everything I wanted - moonroof & leather. I knew I would never use the added off road features of the Trail or TRD Pro, plus wasn't crazy about the red stitching and the loss of the sunglasses holder on the Trail or the absence of the moonroof option on the TRDP.
Plus with 150k miles on my 2wd Sport I never got it stuck.

This is exactly the same situation for me. Bought one that they had ordered for inventory and claimed it before it arrived. They had the full vin so I am expecting it to be here by the third week of the month also. It is frustrating though when I get an update saying no update. :frusty:
 
Put my deposit down about 2 weeks ago, my Super White TEP is on the Pacific and should be in port in two days. Sounds like they hang around in Portland for a week or so before being shipped to the dealer. Should be one or two days of dealer installs, with delivery near the end of the month.

(Wanted a TRD Pro for the front end, but wanted KDSS and a sunroof more; turned out to be about the same price as a TRD Pro would have been. Win-win for me!)
 
Anyone know which port the vehicle might have came in on? Are they all Portland? I am in Southern California. Trying to get an idea of when to expect it. The anticipation is killing me!

Perfect example why I never ever will be waiting for my next vehicle like you guys do. Plus I prefer saving money on vehicle available for immediate delivery.
 
Still waiting... Should be here next week but we are also going on vacation at the end of week ... So there will be more waiting .

Trail Premiums are pretty hard to come by in CO at the moment, and most are sold before they hit the lot (especially in white). $3.5k below MSRP was close enough for me to accept a dealer allotment that was still in Japan being built. I consider the wait to be character-building; I think when my kids were young we referred to it as 'delayed gratification'. ;)

I hope you're enjoying building your bought-off-the-lot-in-HR SR5 into the truck you really wanted.

TRD Pros take longer since the port needs to install most of the mods there. Everything else is a lot quicker, regardless of where it goes
 
Got word my MGM Turd Pro hit the port last night. How long to Denver? They originally told me early September. Seems like it may be earlier than that.
 
I guess I can be added to waiting. I'm still waiting to see if my order will be accepted. Ended up ordering a SW TEP + KDSS + RC

Lots of hassle trying to order one of these deep in the South.

I did not want to wait for a Gen 6 and be screwed out of a Gen 5 if they decided to do something stupid..and if they don't I can jump into one of those once they get past the Gen 6 refresh towards end of run.

Sounds like yours was on the same boat as mine. When did you order, and what dealer are you working with?

They made it sound like it's typically ~7 days; should go into "F" status ('freight') soon, at which point they should have a rough arrival date to the dealer.
