Anyone have an active carfax?

My buddy was looking at a '98 limited today. He had cash, the "original owner" did not have the title with him...at his home...

Not sure if that is fishy or if people really keep titles to cars in safety deposit boxes. Anyways, my friend is supposed to go back and finalize the deal this weekend, but I am hoping to prevent him any potential heartache ahead of time, so if anyone has an active Carfax subscription and would be so kind to run the following, let me know and I can PM you my email address.

PM me your email. CarFax is clean but shows a lien. Your friend need to make sure the lien has been relased before purchasing.
