Anyone have Rear 5100's in stock?

I bought rears from Suspension Lift Kits, Body Lift Kits, Leveling Kits, Shocks and Truck Accessories - Jackit.com a couple weeks ago. I took 2 days finding a full set, fronts came from Michigan Spring.

Good luck, they are on b/o everywhere. As said, be sure they are in stock before you give anyone your order.

I just installed the fronts and rears this past weekend, which I bought from offroadwarehouse. I knew the rears were on back order when I placed my order - seems like no one had them in stuck. They called me right away to let me know that they were on b/o and wanted to know if I'd want them to send out the fronts only right away - very good communication! I told them to wait for the rears to come in and send them together since I wasn't in a hurry.

It took them less than 2 weeks to get the rears from Bilstein (faster than the estimated 2-3 weeks) and I got all 4 quickly without any problems. I would definitely do business with this company again.

Give them a call - they might have them in stock now. Search for a coupon code with 5% off and they should run you about $330 with free shipping.

Yeah I've looked around, but it seems that sites are advertising the parts but then they'd be "back ordered" if I placed an order. Anyone know for sure if someone actually has them in stock?

I just ordered a set and got them in the mail about 6 days ago from Shockwarehouse.com.

They had them in stock when I placed the order, took only a few days to get them delivered.

Did you get the 5100's that are for "up to 1in lift"? How much lift you got in the back end? I'm looking for at least 2.

5100's alone will not provide any lift in the rear. The fronts are adjustable so you gain lift, rears aren't. You'd want a set of coils or coil spacers to lift the rear.

yeah I already got my coils, but just making sure I get the right shocks. I got the Toytec Superflex coils. Suggestions?

OK, just wanted to make sure you realized the shocks wouldn't provide lift. Here's something to think about, and sorry I don't have an answer. The 5100's for the 4runner are listed to be for up to 1" lift. The 5100's for the FJ Cruiser are listed to be up to 2" lift. On Bilstein's site, they show the same part number. Both vehicles are built on the same platform, so shocks are interchangeable. What I do wonder is if there are two versions of the shock, or maybe just different OEM specs causes that number difference?

My understanding is the same Bilstein 5100's are used on all FJ's and all 4th generation 4Runners. I could be mistaken, but I believe I was told that by a Bilstein Rep or Bilstein distributor. The front shock (5100) is adjustable up to 2.5", the rear shock (5100) provides no lift and is not adjustable. Based on my experiance, the 5100's are valved stiffer then the Off-Road Pkg Bilsteins found on the 2011 FJ.

I was just going to post asking about the Bilstein rears. I just got off the phone ordering fronts and rears from Down South Motorsports, and was informed that there are no rear adjustables. I thought I read on the site, someone dialing in the rears at 1.75 and the fronts at .85. Can't find the thread now, but the poster made it sound like he got adjustables in the rear as well.

Danny, I did what you are talking about, but I have the oem rear air suspension. U adjusted the rear by adding air to the bags, shocks didnt have a thing to do with it. Idk if I'm who you were thinking of, but I did do that.

Back on topic: if you are looking for Bilsteins, DO NOT try and buy from Eastside Custom Truck.

Rather than purchase through their website, I called to see if they had them in stock. I called three times and left messages with no callback. On a random try the fourth time, someone picked up the phone, and I ordered front shocks they had in stock. I gave all my info, card number, etc.

Two weeks later, I still had yet to see the shocks or even get an email confirming my order or sending me a tracking number. After two weeks, I called three times over two days and left a message. No call back. I called again the third day, and got a recorded message saying, "THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED DUE TO NON-PAYMENT."

Luckily, I haven't been charged...yet. 'Moved on to searching for other vendors.

Try Summit Racing. I've ordered from them and their prices are usually pretty good and provide alright customer service. And their phones were on last time I checked . Pretty sure they have your shocks in stock (says they would ship today at least).
