Anyone have these rims on a new 4runner?

i was wanting to see what they look like on the truck, thinking about buying them just for fun.

i thought about those too...however, i have the silver titanium colour, which closely matches the stock rims...i think the chrome would look better or best with black paint...if you have silver paint now, id save your money
 
Mine came with them. I plan on selling them as soon as I can get some wider wheels. Let me know if any of you are interested. They do provide a real 'classy' look to the Black 4 runner.

I HATE how the stock wheels are actualy inset narrower than the body of the car. I like my tires to be just a fraction wider than the body - sticking out of the wheel wells just a hair. Looks gnarly ;-)
 
Well, i'm not a fan of chrome so I'm just going to keep my mouth zipped on that part, but personally those are my least favorite of the stock wheel choices... I actually thought about looking into seeing how much a set of the sport wheels for my 3rd gen but ended up finding a really good deal on some rock crawlers instead. Eventually i'll have another set of alloy wheels with A/Ts and then put some MTs on the rock crawlers, but thats when I feel like spending more money on wheels.

Just noticed you were wanting some BFG KOs... If your heart is completely set on those... get a set of Bridgestone Duller A/T Revos and I promise you, you will like them better. ;) Espcially if your primarily on-road... The Revo on-road is just plain amazing, espcially in the wet. And that is not an exaggeration. I could barely break them loose. They were like super glue... I miss them every time it rains. (I went with the non-revos because of the size, not thinking they would be that different. but they are!!)

There is this place here in BHAM that chromes rims.
Keystone Automotive. I am going to call and see how
much they charge.

I just bought an 2004 4runner Sport V8 4x4 and I thought it was interesting that they put special wheels on the sport and used the same on the SR5 and Limited??? I also had them take the Michelin Cross Terrains off of a SR5 and swap them with the white letter Dunlops that came on the Sport. The Michelins on Tirerack cost 2 times as much as the Dunlops or Brigstone and based on the reviews are rated a lot higher.
 
Save some money and get them directly from BBS, then you won't have to pay for the TRD markup. My buddy has them on his Tahoe so anybody can get them. You could probably find the TRD centercaps for them. I don't know much about them other than the fact that your going to be paying for them... I think bbs is a way overpriced, but they do look good!

stock rims for sale and some questions

I recently purchased an '04 Limited 4WD V8 with the stock wheels shown on the first post of this thread with Bridgestones. I like the wheels and tires, but want a wider tire and I like the look of the TRD wheels.

1-Is anyone interested in purchasing my stock wheels and tires (only 1400 miles)? Price negotiable.

2-Can I switch to a TRD wheel/tire 18" X 9" package without getting a lift for my 4Runner?

3-trdperformance.com has this wheel/tire package (Michelin Cross-Terrain tires - 275-55R18) for $1949.25 plus shipping. Is that a good deal? If not, does anyone know of a better one?

4-if I switch to the TRD wheel/tire package will that affect my speedometer, odometer, NAV etc.?

5-does anyone have a picture of their 4Runner with the TRD wheels that they can post?

Hey Frank,
What did you end up with? Did you get the BBSs? To answer your question about the speedo/nav you just have to get a tire that is the same diameter as the stock tires and nothing will change. If you do get bigger tires then you will have to get the speed-o adjusted, shouldn't be a big deal but... i'd ask your dealership.
 
wheels and tires

Well, I have not purchased new wheels and tires yet, but I will once I have a buyer for my "almost new" stock wheels and tires. The price of $1500 for my stock set is negotiable within reason. Anyone interested?

I am interested in the eight spoke TRD wheel and the Italia Magnum as seen on tirerack.com. Do you have any other suggestions?
