Anyone hear this strange noise?

My 2010 TE has just about 450 miles on it. I was out for about a 30 min drive today and upon returning parked the vehicle in the garage as usual. I stepped into the garage about 4 hrs later to retrieve something from the truck and as soon as I stepped into the garage I could hear a distinct buzzing noise coming from underneath near the transmission. I popped the hood and stuck my head inside and verified the noise was not from the engine compartment. It sounded for sure like the noise was part of some electrical draw from the battery. I had left the key in the ignition when I parked it and so I started the vehicle and let it run for about 3 seconds and then turned it off and pulled out the key and the noise stopped. Very strange. Has anyone else heard this or have a plausible explanation?

I can't remember what it is from, but I read in the owners manual that this noise is normal. It is the car doing some sort of check or something like that. I am sure someone with knowledge will step in shortly.

Yes, thanks. Ryan, The link you provided seems to accurately describe the noise only I thought it was coming more from the front of the vehicle and yes it really sounds like a small electric motor. The link in the prior post talks of a chirping noise which did not seem close to what I was hearing. But based on some of these posts plus what you find in the manual it seems like there are quite a few unfamiliar noises that these vehicles emit which are perfectly normal especially those noises involving the various select terrain modes, etc.

You say you left your key in the ignition? You know there's a fan in the radio, right?
