Anyone in San Diego interested in a rear window up/ down modification?

Hey everyone-

I own a 4th Gen and installed a switch allowing the rear window to roll up and down while camping in the back. Additionally, I installed a button for popping the rear hatch. Video below:

I wanted to see if anyone with a 5th gen would be interested in the same setup? I need roughly 2 hours of time with someone's 5th gen to do a mockup. You would receive the kit (installed) for free.

that's nice. would definitely be convenient for campers. a write up would be nice for those no in San Diego...lol.

would this switch be hot all the time or only with keys in the ON position?

I would like to accomplish something slightly different. I want to add a switch outside like the limited eidtion but not sure how to accomplish this and still maintain a level of security.

If its like anything on the 4th gen, it would be always "hot"- in other words, when you are sleeping in the back, you dont have to put key in ignition to roll window up or down. I say "hot" because its actually not a hot circuit and does not drain the battery.

As far as an exterior switch, it sounds like you are looking to do something like the limited's with their two buttons (up/down)?

If so, I am not sure a way to do such without really diving into the wiring of the rear release mechanism and using a relay- I'd be happy to look into it though!
