Anyone Install An AFE Pro Dry S In A 4.7?

It's about time to change out my air filter and I was looking at the AFE Pro Dry S drop-in.
Wondering if anyone has purchased one of these for a 4.7 and what your impressions/thoughts/experiences are.

I just installed one on Saturday,replacing the AFE oiled filter I was using, and I am happy with it.I also removed the HFC filter and installed a new set of Michelin latitude tour tires.On a 300 mile trip with a combination city/highway driving my mileage went from 20.3 to 22.7.Found the filter on Amazon.com for 44 dollars and free shipping.

I just have to ask: How did you get the 4 tires to fit where the HFC filter was located?:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Not a whole lot of time behind the wheel with it yet. Did you get anymore intake noise on acceleration? I've heard about people mentioning a whistling noise while driving, any issues?
I'm also looking at the AEM Dryflow filter too. Not sure at this point.

Not a whole lot of time on it yet,but I think had there been a noticeable difference in sound or a whistling noise I would of picked up on right away.Compared to the stock filter I do not know, as I have never had a stock filter on this 4R.I have no issues with it,just install and go.It does seem to have a little quicker throttle response,not sure if its a results of the filter or removal of the HC filter.
