Anyone install DuraTracs with white letters out?

I'm pretty sure I've seen some rigs with this setup in the past, but trying to search for them is proving to be quite a challenge. Would appreciate any pics, especially on a white 2006 or later.

I personally think the DTs look great with whites out, but a lot of people say I'm old-fashioned and whites are out since it's not the 80s or 90s. :shrug:

A little off topic, but how are the DTs on road? Are they rough, or noisy? They seem to be very popular and I love the way they look but I have Open Country AT2 and they are as quiet as any highway tire and don't hurt the MPGs. The DTs look way better though so I might go for them when I size up.

I don't have them, but my research leads me to believe they have very good road manners - possibly the best among AT tires. The only consistent knocks on them are that they are heavy (mpg killer) and that the sidewalls are too prone to failure in moderate to harsh off road situations.

I am torn between these and the BFG AT. I think its pretty clear that popular opinion is that the DuraTrac is the superior tire in most applications. However, I want to keep my 18" limited wheels which really limits my tire choices.

I can get the BFG in a size that would be a pretty easy fit. I've run them before and was happy with them. I love the look of the rwl sidewall on 4th gen rigs.

Still I can't help but feel like the DuraTrac is the better tire. Problem is it's a much tougher fit - probably need 2.5" lift up front, RAS adjusted up 1-1.5 in back, and then some trimming or adjustment of fender liner.

I can get either tire for about the same price. So it really boils down to whether or not the DuraTracs are superior enough to warrant the extra effort and expense to make them fit.

Thanks, there are lots of pictures around with the letters out on BFG and I think they look great. Not many with the OWL of the Duras out, still haven't found a really good one. The one Gaterose linked above is the best I've seen (thanks Gaterose). I checked [MENTION=88458]Hobson[/MENTION]'s gallery but nothing there better than the one above.
