Anyone interested in Anza run on Jan. 16th ???

We have a group of family/close friends going sunday if you guys want to join us.

I think with as disorganized as this run has become, I'm going to bow out too. It'll give me a chance to get some stuff done around the house this weekend and get some work done on my Tacoma (doing rotors up front) Maybe get my lights mounted and electrical run on the 4runner.

I will probably head out to Fish Creek Wash off Split Mountain road to check out the wind caves if this run doesn't happen. We went 2 weeks ago to the mud caves in the Arroyo Tapiado area and want to explore more of the Borrego desert.

Any of you that do decide to head out to Anza-Borrego area me and and quit a few other's will be out there as well...Most of them will be out there by 7am I will not be out there til noonish to pick up my daughter to bring her along. The group consist of a few 4runners, few tundra's, and tacoma's all great people like I said before from the 16-18th any of those days your in that area we will be on Ham 147.420 and 147.520 as back up channel. You will definitely hear us chattering on that channel. I have CB in my rig as well that I will leave on channel 13 but the rest of the group don't use there cb's anymore. So if your out there tune in and say what up and we can rally together for some good times.
@Wraith if you need or want a CB I have an extra in my garage it's a Cobra 29LX Chrome Limited Edition really nice one that looks brand new your welcome to snag, just let me know.
Or if any of you want my cell if that's easier just message me.

Well, we'll be out there at Scissors Crossing at 9am.

Might just end up hanging with some friends that are camping out there if nothing else. They're down S2 a ways, so trails like Canyon Sin Nombre or Carrizo Creek might be the destination.

Nice! We'll be heading there early sunday morning. Our group will consist of 4runners, tacomas, and maybe one fj62.

Plan for us is to start at split mountain to fish Creek to sandstone canyon until we hit that boulder. Then, turn around and head to ocotillo wells for some fun.

[MENTION=67786]4RunAmok[/MENTION] [MENTION=62034]Keemonrunnin[/MENTION] & myself left Scissor's crossing around 10am and headed to the visitor's center in Borrego Springs for me to grab a detailed map, then went to Fish Creek Wash to hike to the Wind Caves. After the hike back to the trucks noticed [MENTION=84643]JBurt[/MENTION] parked already hiking and we ate lunch and he joined us for a run up part of Coyote Canyon. Did the water crossing and made it up the rock garden and stopped at the historical marker near Sheep Valley. Sun was setting so we called it a day and finished up with some Mexican food at Jilbertos in Borrego Springs. Very fun trip with great company. It was nice meeting everyone and I'll also throw up some photos in a bit.

We went through sandstone canyone and made it over the boulder. We definitely used our sliders today.

Apryl and I had a lot of fun meeting you guys and running you all over the park! Even with all the ground we covered, there's still so much more to see!

Everyone got along great, and it was nice not dealing with an itinerary/schedule to stick to, other than available daylight.

Hiking to the Wind Caves and seeing Lower Willows in Coyote Canyon in the same day is a pretty good trip.

I've got an idea brewing for another day trip, but I need to talk to someone about access before I venture out.

Looks like you guys had fun, although the wind caves looked busy as hell. I'll have to make the next one. Makes for a long day coming from OC and with nobody knowing what was going on I just lost interest.
