Anyone interested in cb antenna mount?

Tomorrow I'm planning on building some cb antenna mounts. Anyone want me to build them one? Will be made of 1/8 plate and finish will look similar to this just with better welds. This one was my first welding project. I've since improved.







Tentatively 41 shipped 48 usa

You know if you're looking for fab jobs to sell, these are niches in the market I've noticed:

  • Rooftop LED light bar mounts (up to 50")
  • Cheaper ditch brackets
  • Turbo manifold
  • All-aluminum bumpers
  • Bumper mounted LED light bar brackets

Just start converting everyone you wheel with to VHF. Cheaper at $27 for radio and $15 for license, much higher quality sound, and much much further range.
 
Yes absolutely!!! Been looking for one for ages at the right price. Some dude on reddit (/r/4runner, check it out) said he'd give me one for free but I guess that fell through...

Unfortunately I have no one that I truly wheel with. :Cry: Only mall crawlers around here it seems that don't want to get dirty, that and mud holes which are fun, but a total mess. I wish I had the access to trails like you guys out west do.

I've moved for less of a reason than that.

Plus the complete lack of any public land in AL (thanks to the timber business). I used to live in Dothan and it was the same there, full-size trucks with the most asinine lifts and such everywhere. Sadly I can't even find any 'yota groups here in TX to wheel with.

I second the roof brackets for LED bars. There's one set that I've seen but at $150 for two little brackets... :barf:

Moving just isn't in the cards right now. Maybe a few years down the road, plus growing up as a military child I've moved more in my life than most people ever will. I can't say that it is a particularly enjoyable experience...

Yup, you nailed it. I'm always telling people how my truck with no lift and only larger tires is way more capable than those trucks. They just don't get it... If you ever find your way back through AL, hit me up, we can make our own temporary Toyota group haha.

My friend, the only move I'm trying to make is to Colorado and the sooner, the better. Was lucky enough to visit for awhile last year and since then I've been trying to get something lined up to hop on over.
 
Ok put six together. I'm not a professional so they aren't perfect. But they will work and are more solid than the one I've been using with a 4' firestik.







What do you think?

You are correct, I've noticed these as well. But I am limited in what I can produce with the tools I have.

Questions, what style of aluminum bumper? Where would you like to mount the light bar on the bumper? I had my 20" light behind the grill, something like that?
 
If you can make light bar brackets for a 41.5" light bar for free I might consider driving to where ever you are to wheel with you. Or they just have to be less than the ridiculous $150!

I could probably come up with something. I'm not a fan of the 50" on 4runners. I'd have to get a 41" light bar to play with first.

Well I will commit to buying mounts for a 41.5" light bar if you can guarantee they will cost less than $150. Plus I bet plenty of other members will purchase the mounts because as far as I know there is only one place to get mounts and they're $150 which is way too much.
