anyone know anything about Crossfire Car Audio?

I was at a couple of our local car audio places today getting some quotes on car audio setups. I was originally planning to go with Infinity Reference coaxial speakers (6.5" front/5.25" back door), but the second shop I went to is owned by someone who sells Infinity, JBC, JVC, Polk, etc. but who is a big proponent of the competition stuff. He was really pushing the brand Hybrid Audio, but once we started going through his product line Crossfire Audio seemed really good for less money than Infinity. Or I can get components in the front door and coaxials in the back door for not much more than Infinity coaxials all around. Thing is, I've never heard of Crossfire Audio before today and can't find much about the brand online. Has anyone else here heard anything about them or know where I can find information?

hybrid audio makes good speakers, crossfire new is not like the old, i would always stay away from brands that was good in the old days coming back to the new days, old crossfire stuff was white, a friend gave me an eq but i couldnt use it. the new stuff is like a rebage of some other brands, quality i dont know, but if you stick with the stuff your familiar with, its always safe.

riceandpho, to your comment about going with what you know, the biggest reason I was going to go with Infinity Reference is because I ran those in a previous vehicle and enjoyed them.

That being said, I'm just a novice/everyday listener, not a major audiophile. I just want better quality than stock without spending a ton of money. Something I can crank up loud when the windows are down without a lot of distortion and some good mid-bass; so anything will really be an improvement and will probably satisfy me.

if you are familiar with infinity get it, but have you try alpine type s for replacement speaker? order off ebay for cheap price, but sometimes sonicelectronix and crutchfield do have some sales. i think i saw some polk audio. from what i hear for a long time now is infinity has alot of highs and not enough mids. ive install alpine type s and recommend them, sounds good with aftermarket radio. havent had a chance to really amp them up at 50w+, but they sound fine at 22w rms. what is your budget? some of us do spend more than others here.
