Anyone know the Chilton Labor Hours to replace inner/outer Tie-Rods on a 95 4Runner?

I know how long it takes, not very, but does anyone have access to the shop labor book/system that the mechanics use? need to know how many labor hours are charged for the r&r of the tie-rods.

my system shows 1.8 for all 4.

Gotta say I am surprised with the 1.8 figure, seems very generous, I believe
I could do this on my back in the gravel in 1 hour. Not to take anything away
from you, as you are probably a mechanic.

Long story short, I let a local shop do the work for me, they charged 2
labor hours to r&r inner/outer & adjustors, plus another hr for alignment and I'm a bit ticked.(mostly at myself for not doing it myself), wanted to see if they are on the level with the hours.

labor hours to r&r inner/outer & adjustors, plus another hr for alignment and I'm a bit ticked.(mostly at myself for not doing it myself), wanted to see if they are on the level with the hours.

the adjusters can get stuck(and usually do) and make it very difficult to get the TRE's off. it would be a bit more in parts, but less labor to replace the adjusting sleeves along with the TRE's. then you would just pop the ends loose, and remove the entire assembly. no need to undo the adjusters, and fight with them being stuck.

according to my guide, that 1.8hrs also includes setting the toe. but, as far as I know, we have never done it that way, and expect most shops don't.

I had brought it in for an alignment, and they told me adjusters were frozen, so they did replace the whole thing in one piece. Charged me 3.5 hrs in total to r&r the tie-rods, alignment and front suspension inspection.
