Anyone know what this wiring harness is called?

Hey All,
My wife went out to fire up the 4Runner on Thursday and saw the dash lit up like a Xmas tree with sensors. Come to find out a bunch of wiring appears to have been chewed through by a rodent. I'm wondering if any of you know what this type of sensor harness is called and where I can possibly get a replacement.

Sorry for your misfortunate incident! I wasn't able to put my hands on the correct ABS wiring diagram tonight, but I have an idea what they're called IIRC! You can look at the photo that I copied from yours, with my arrows and description(s)!:artist2:

The middle one you can fix yourself! I would go to the local Salvage/Junk-yard and get the harnesses from them, "for pennies on the dollar; ...take the old one with you to match the harness fitment, even most 4'th Gen 4Runners should fit!" See below:

I'm searching around the web now trying to find those parts. I may stop by the dealership today to see worst case scenario what the cost would be to order them through Toyota.

had exact same wires chewed threw years ago, was able to solder them back together. I dont think mine were that low though

I'm searching around the web now trying to find those parts. I may stop by the dealership today to see worst case scenario what the cost would be to order them through Toyota.

Ya know PRBond,

I was just thinking, the Junk-yards Don't want the harnesses; they cut them to access the sensors and electrical parts! So you shouldn't have any trouble finding them; they will even network and find them for you from other salvage-yards!

So an update on the wire harness episode...

In the end with limited junk yards by me and not knowing if there was further wiring missing that I didn't see right away, I went ahead and opened a claim with my insurance company. It ended up costing me my deductible twice (story coming) however I think that was probably the right way to go.

So while waiting for my 4Runner to get fixed at the dealership I had a rental car. (2020 Dodge Journey, something I'd never buy, but it's a rental) While pulling into a Rally's Drive-Thru to grab a bit to eat, I was backed into by a guy who had no license and no insurance. He asked if I was ok, then drove off. I was pissed, but what can you do? I called the police and filed an incident report and then reported it to my insurance company for an additional claim. Thus when I turned in the rental car I had to pay my deductible to them as well. However, I'm glad he at least hit the rental and not my 4Runner or my Tacoma and of course I'm glad there were no injuries.

We got the 4Runner back last night from the dealership and they did a solid job.

Did you find out what that device is with the two power wires and the 6-wire connector? I just had a rodent chew up the same exact harness!
