The price seems high for this area. I picked mine up for 4k with a little over 130k on the odometer. A post purchase car fax reveled an additional 100k but a 3 page detailed service history so I just got lucky. I live about 30 min from the sellers location and I get back in town Tuesday if you need me to take a look.

He also added Taco TRD mats so the PO might have added the sport hood too. I did it to mine.

Dont worry about CA compliant, it's good in any state.

Dealership appears to be a reputable used car dealer (is that oxymoronic?).

It has a Scan Gauge, Optima, and the clock works. Probably some body that cares, and likely on this or one of the Toyota enthusiast sites I bet.

Looks clean, being a cali runner rust should be no issue. The only drawback is Fl dealers always have crazy dealer fees. Don't know what sales tax is in your home state but take that into consideration as well as the dealer fees.

Reading the car fax it was interesting that when the title was transferred to Indiana, it states there is an odometer exemption for reporting actual mileage. I wonder if that's why it went to Indiana and then back to Florida.

Fla also has an exemption. Anything over 100k can be listed as not actual mileage.

The last mileage in Florida before Indiana was 137k. First mileage after that was 25 months later at 168.5k. That is about 15,000 miles per year which is right about average.
Once its back in Florida there's 5.5k put on it over the course of about 6 months.....again average.

I don't see anything fishy about the mileage. It is strange that it spent a lot of its life in Fl, then one small trip to Indiana and back again.

But again, nothing fishy...unless I'm missing something.

O2 sensors are a little more expensive, and if you have to replace the converters there are two of them to deal with, so twice as much money.

Mine is a CA vehicle, and I'll get a P420 code every few months (seems to happen when the temperature changes substantially, but maybe coincidence) but I'm at 215k.

That price seems a little high to me as well, but it's been a couple of years since I bought mine, and they're certainly getting harder and harder to find in good shape. I probably try to get him down under $7k at least.

I'd like to stay away from any vehicles in the north. I'm from Louisiana and I have no clue where it snows and where salt is used on the roads. To be safe I'm staying away from any areas where I think it may snow.

I've found a few decent deals in Ohio, but I've used a nationwide search on cars.com, autotrader.com, and another site that searches all these and more together. This is actually very well priced for what it appears I may be able to get.

I've seen some 2wd with similar mileage for the same price.
