anyone notice that Mobil1 gear oil is thin?

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed how thin the Mobil 1 75/90 gear oil "feels". just from shaking the bottles and dipping my finger in it, i was surprised how thin it felt compared to the others i have on hand (royal purple, lucas etc) It really feels closer to engine oil than gear oil. I suppose it may be more efficient but i'm worried about wear.

am i the only one who's noticed this?

It seemed thin to me when I shook it too, but trust me- you'll wish it was thinner when you're squeezing it out into your diffs and transfer case!
