Anyone Notice Their Tranny Temps Running Higher With Budbuilts?

Ever since I put my BudBuilts on, I noticed my tranny gets significantly hotter - especially when climbing mountain passes. I can only guess this is because the Budbuilt skids block airflow to the undercarriage and they keep the heat up inside the undercarriage more. I don't have a tranny temp sensor in my 4runner, but I can feel the hump in the middle of the cab getting hotter than it used to. I've also ran without my Buds off recently and the tranny stayed a lot cooler.

Obviously this is my cue to get an external tranny cooler before the "strawberry fairy" pays me a visit, but just wanted to let others know who have Budbuilts (or other types of heavy duty skids) that this may be a concern.

I noticed my trans running a little hotter when I was stressing it, but not any hotter overall in just normal daily driving. I figured it was just from the extra weight, but it's probably a combination of airflow and weight.

I know, I'm starting to feel like I'm skatin on thin ice! The only reason I haven't gotten a cooler yet is because I replaced the radiator about 6 years ago so up until now the milkshake hasn't been too much of a worry. But with my armor weight and living in the mountains, it's time to worry about it again!
