I also spend most of the time solo on trails in CO and UT, I haven't gotten stuck...yet. I normally don't go out on trails alone that I know will require a spotter or trails that will push the truck to its limits. I did take a wrong turn in the San Juans and ended going down a very difficult trail in the rain with my Tacoma. I also ended up on a trail in UT that had an obsticle I couldn't pass -- so I turned around rather than push it. Usually if I can't get by on a couple of tries I head another way. I am also always packed for camping purposes, so I am prepared to spend multiple nights out. I think on moderate trails with a vehicle that is properly equipped and with provisons wheeling alone is a lot of fun. One thing I always do is leave an itinerary of where I am and what time I should be back with someone. I haven't wheeled my 4Runner much yet, but I am leaving for Utah in a couple weeks....
