Anyone remove plasti dip from fender flares?

See tons of vids on how to plasti dip fender flares. Anyone remove it from there fender flares? And if so how'd it turn out? I have used goo done before but worry what it'll do to the stock flare color.

Shouldn't need to use any "goo gone" type products. As long as it was applied properly- you know, THICK- then it should peel off fine.
Although, I argue that there is ANY way to properly Plasti-dip car parts [emoji12]
I admit, I Plasti-dip'd the chrome grills on the 335i, and they turned out okay. That said- I wouldn't do it again.

Shouldn't be necessary to use goo gone, it should peel right off as the others stated.

That said, if you really need something, WD40 works like an absolute charm. I used it to remove some of the overspray from when I dipped my rear license plate holder.

Unfortunately the previous owner went crazy with the plasti dip. Wheels, fender flares, trim. I had to use goo gone and a pressure washer to get it off the wheels. It never peeled off so I'm assuming it wasn't applied correctly. Anyone know if wd40 or goo gone will strip or damage the color on the flares that's under the plasti dip??

WD40 is pretty safe for almost any surface on the vehicle - there's a lot of myths out there but it's actually a pretty gentle mix - I keep finding more uses for it all the time. Good luck.

just peel it off then clean it with a rag

Forget the goo gone. Spray with WD40, wait 15-20 minutes and it practically peels itself off.

Apply several coats of wd40 to the plastidip. Let the wd40 sit for about 5 mins, then powerwash the dip off. Just did it 2 days ago and it works perfectly without damaging any of the factory paint.
