Anyone running 295/75/16?

Just saw this size for BFG KO2s and since a lot of people don’t need trimming for 285s, these are only .6 bigger in diameter, .4 in width, .3 in sidewall, but, 1.8 in circum; so, they’re a 33.4 rather than 285 which is actually a 32.8.

Bonus points if you’re a limited with the 6 spoke wheels.

Here is the equal 295/70r17... I can't comment on if they'll rub for you or not.

But 285's for me long ago still rubbed until I did lots of trimming

So, if I read correctly, you did little to no trimming with 2.5” lift in front and 3” in rear?

This is what I've needed to trim out of the firewall area:

When I had my stock bumper I had to trim away the inside corner of the flare as well.

In the rear when I had the flares/mudflaps I used to have a slight rubbing issue on those (especially on the screws that poked out).

I can't tell you how much "lift" I have (I don't know what my stock height was, I haven't measured, and I really don't care) but I can tell you a lift does not help with tire clearance. Lifts only changes the ride height and do not change the geometry of your suspension travel - so whether you have a 3" lift or are at stock height, full bump/flex/lock doesn't change where your tire is at.

Not running them anymore, but did have 295/75/16 General AT2's on 16x8 LC wheels. I didn't cut anything, but you do hit frame at full lock.

Reading your signature answered one of my questions - a regear made the difference I bet. Tires that large and heavy are a lot of work on stock gears.

I used to run 35 KM2s, and I'm just not a believer that 35s are meant for 4runners. That was when I needed the gears.

I think 33 / 34 are the sweet / max spot for Toyotas. I have a lot more travel and clearance issues with the long travel, and couldn't go back to 35 now.

But prior to all that, I had 285 KO2s with a supercharger and stock gears and was still happy.

I was running 285 Coopers with my supercharger on 4.30 gears for a year. I went back to 265 Coopers a few months ago and like having the immediate throttle response back. If I go larger again I will end up going with 17s instead of 16s to stay in load range C tires. But that may be a ways off. I killed my slush fund recently. I just ordered Kings from Filthy so that put a stop to any LT ideas.

Maybe.
