New tires. My KO2s had 45K on them, and I had been dealing with a leak for quite a while. It was time for some new ones. I came across a deal through a family member on some (already) cheap MTs, which were not really what I was looking for. I was planning on an AT in 285/75/17 before these came up. Decided to try them out, because hey, they're likely better than what I had. And I got them bought and installed for $100. If I hate them, I haven't really lost anything.

They're noisy at 55+ MPH, but not unbearable. I'll see how they do in the snow, that might be a deal breaker.

No rub, but I haven't stuffed them yet.

I'd been looking at roof racks for a while, and came across a reasonably priced option that I haven't seen get much love online. Turns out they manufacture 5 minutes away from my house, which means I save on shipping. Decided to give UpTop a shot, and I like how it turned out.

Finally got around to installing my new skids, and promptly began to abuse them. Chinaman's Gulch put a few solid dings into them on their maiden voyage.

Recent trip to Telluride. Couldn't have asked for better weather on Black Bear Pass. Imogene's summit was right in the middle of a thunderstorm the next day. First time doing both, incredible experience.

Went out for a little fun and got stuck up to the frame in mud. The wife was able to come to the rescue thankfully, and getting unstuck is part of the fun.

But the squeaking is ungodly, even after 90 minutes and way too much money spent spraying all the mud out at the car wash. Gonna have to take off the wheels to really get in there this weekend.

I need to try and get out there to find some of these cool offroading spots. I have not been out anywhere yet purely for offroading. It is usually to go fishing, hunting or finding minerals with a friend and turns into a camping trip.

Seeing these pictures makes me want to try and get out there just to see some of those cool spots and camp out there(since they are all far away).

The last photos I posted are of Yankee Hill, just behind Central City. There's actually a pretty big network of trails right there. It's one of my go-to trails since it's only about an hour away. We met up around 8:00 AM and were aired down and on the trail by 9:30. Plenty to do for a wide range of vehicles and experience levels.

After almost 3 years, my Toytec coilovers were leaky, and the rubber bushings on the lower shock mount were toast. Toytec came through with a free upgrade under warranty. New version has heim bushings.

Crazy Hailstorm passed through on Wednesday. Damage on every body panel, the roof, the hood. Sunroof smashed, water everywhere. Broken mirror.

Waiting on insurance, curious to see if they'll total it or not.
