Anyone running LED's on their 3rd gen?

Don't use anything other than a halogen in the stock reflector housing.

also, my main problem with LEDs is that they just don't throw far no matter what they are in. I don't understand the science enough but halogen's and HID have much better throw.

Lots of truth behind this as halogen reflector dont throw the LED pattern the greatest.

However, I switched to LED in standard pre 01 headlights. I couldn't be happier. It got to the point that the Halgons were worthless with all the new lights being LED in new cars were blinding me at night. Couldn't see at all when it rains and it was actually getting dangerous. You may have adjust the leds and the headlights themselves so you dont blind people. Other then that they will work. They are 5 to 10× brighter then my original bulbs and work for me.

Also, will flashing the headlights be quick? It seems that it uses a solenoid to switch between low and high beams and not a different set of drivers.

There's no replaceable bulbs in those projectors. Beam pattern is somewhat narrow compared to a good (and cheaper) aftermarket hid projector. They released a 2.0 version that's been getting good reviews, and it's on sale at the moment Bi-LED: Morimoto M LED 2.0 - LED Projectors - Components

Very quick, probably quicker than it takes a halogen's highbeam filament to achieve full brightness.
