Anyone running OME 883/890 on there 3rd gen??

I want to get a 3 inch lift for my 97 runner and put a reinforced winch bumper on it with a winch. Would OME 883/890 do the job? How long will they hold up before they sag? Anyone have any suggestions for me to be able to do this? I’m pretty new at this so I have very limited knowledge.

I have a 3" lift on my rig with 883 front and the rear coils are 890. The shocks are 60028 OME. With the stock front bumper the ride is a bit stiff, but a new plate bumper & winch are the next mods on the list which should make the ride just about right.

Here's a couple measurements I took that might help you see how yours will sit with this setup.

I am running the same thing... OME 883 and 890 with Bilstein 5100s. I also have a tjm up front. Seem to do the job but the 890s sag with gear. Stepping up to LC springs.

I have the 883/890 and tundra bilstiens 5100, call wheelers offroad and have them build the front struts. You will need new mounting hardware because you probably will have to cut the front off being that your vehicle is 13yrs old.
I had them do that and press in the gromits to mount the shocks and it was right at $900

33" BFG KM2 Mud Terrain. No rubbing at all under normal off-roading - with a bunch of flex there is slight contact, but well within the acceptable range.

What is TJM? would you recommend 883/891 instead?

Have 99 Limited, had lift when purchased but had rear sag... Just replaced rearend with 891 and 5100.... waiting for new UCA on Thursday and will replace front end with 6112's.

Love the new springs and shocks. eliminated rear sag and rides great. cant wait to have all components upfront to see the real difference

Since we are bumping an old thread, my gut says an 883/890 combo will end up with a front suspension that is pretty significantly stiffer than the rear. As mentioned above, even with only a front bumper and winch, with only 890s out back it will likely show a good bit of reverse rake with even modest loads.

I would probably expect that, on the soft side, an 881 / 890 combo with spacers up front would get you an even ride with about 2.25-2.5" of lift up front after the weight is added.

Alternatively, pairing the 883s with 891s would give you a firmer and more consistent 3" of lift.
