Anyone running Sonoran Steel 3.0?

I just ran out to the garage and measured where I am at stock and it is 33.5 (front) and 34.5 (rear). So Cajun your rear is lower than the front it sounds like?

For a '99 with "tall" springs, yes.

Cajun, did you have extra weight in the back when you took those measurements. Your fronts compared to mine makes sense, but your rear is only about a half inch or so higher which sounds low to me or my rear sits unusually high?? :shrug:

I bought the 99 springs and Bilstein shocks all for $600 and did the install myself, why pay extra for the SS 3.0..?

I went from 34" in the front and 33.5" in the back to 36.5" in the front and 36" in the back`

With the additional weight of subwoofers, spare tire, hi lift jacks, 1st gen roll bars, toolboxes, tow package, and whatever other doodads so many people have in the back of their 4Runners, they're bound to sit a bit lower.

In my case, mine sits at perfectly level height with spare tire and subs, it's actually the front that is off.

These springs are designed for a V6 4Runner and since my 4 cylinder weighs less, my front end is just about .5-1" higher.

i was reading somewhere that to add like a 1/2" more in rear you can add an OME trim packer on top of rear coils. would this be a good idea or would this thin spacer(trim packer) cause the rear springs to sag more quickly? Im doing 99 coils and was thinking if my rear sits a tad lower then I would add one of these...anybody know have an idea about that?

I don't think that the trim packers will have much of an effect on the springs if any at all... but I am not sure 100%. I wouldn't be worried and it sounds like a very good option.

I need to get some measurements on my stock 2000 suspension soon. I'm having a hard time finding a used set of 881/906's, so it looks like I may end up swapping the 99's on to the 4Runner. Plus, it looks like this route will fit better in my budget which is shrinking by the day!

The Runners look nice guys.
