I know this is a crazy posting since everyone on this site is from all around North America, but I thought I would throw it out there. Is anyone selling a 4runner? Ideally 1998 thru 2001 on the east coast. My buddy is looking to buy his first, per my recommendation. I bought a 4th gen sport about 6 months ago and I have been singing the praises of my truck since then. Now he wants one...and he has had a tough time pinning one down. We look on Craigs List and dealers site almost daily. He is in DC but willing to travel within 300-400 miles for the right truck. send photos and VIN...or any advice as where else to look. thanks in advance.

I just searched www.autotrader.com and came up with 703 listings in a 300 mile radius of NE Ohio where I'm at.

I live in DC too. However, I'm keeping my 4runner until it blows up. The carmax sites have a bunch of t4rs and there is a huge Toyota Carmax place in Frederick I think. 2 years ago they offered my dad 10k for my 98 when it had around 65k miles on it. We sold them my camry for 7.5k instead. Anyway, check there and keep in touch, we could plan an offroading trip or something since I live in DC too, or just get together and have some fun.
