Anyone tried a TJM 2" lift?

Looking at toytec's website and noticed that they have a 2" TJM shock / spring package. Anyone tried this? Search on this forum and a general google search turned up very little info. As of now it's between that and the Bilstein/toytec package.

I think TJM is still pretty new to North America so probably not many people have taken a chance on their lifts yet. Looks pretty comparable to OME.

I'd be shocked if anyone had that lift as toytec just added it to their website in the last week or two. I only know because I've been there several times lately considering options myself. Maybe it's been available for awhile but not through them.

That must be new products, as I dont remember seeing that on TJM-USA site a few weeks or months ago.

I love TJM products, but thats coming from other Toyota's.

I would have no hesitation about using their products on a 5th gen.

I heard back from TJM tonight:

"We do offer a suspension upgrade for the 5th Gen 4Runner.

It is a 50MM (2in) lift linear coil spring lift, with 2” extended shocks and struts. We also offer an HD spring to support heavy payloads on vehicles equipped with bumpers, winches, and other gear.

We usually keep both the standard duty and heavy duty springs in stock at all times.

Pricing on the coil springs are $169 a pair, the front struts are priced at $128.99 each, and the rear shocks are $90.95 each."

I have the 2.5" tjm lift on my 80 and it is nice. Haven't had it too long but lots of 80s run that lift kit. I assume at those prices it isn't the adjustable shocks though. Be nice if it was!

haha agreed. that's great to hear. I haven't known anyone firsthand but did a quick read on Mud after the first posts.

I asked them also about UCAs:

"As long as you are keeping it at the 2” lift height, you won’t need a UCA. We recommend a UCA at 2.5-3”, so if you use our suspension with a top mount lift plate, or a trim packer in the strut to give you added lift, you will want to incorporate an aftermarket UCA to keep the alignment in spec!"

I would have 0 hesitation about this kit. TJM makes quality stuff. Very similar in quality to OME.

Wonder if you could stuff a 285/70/17 under it without too much trouble

Probably with a little trimming/wheel well liner mod. It will most likely depend on the wheel offsets and which 285 you use as not all are the same size (KM2 are real 33” but Duratrac is not quite 33”).

My guess is worst case a little trimming or liner mod is all you need.
