Anyone try re-covering their dash?

Hi all,

I've searched and got a lot of threads with "My dash is cracked, help!" but nothing with a fix.

Wondering if anyone has tried re-covering their dash pad (with new foam and vinyl or leather) or has stripped the truck down and found a replacement dash pad supplier (one that is better than OEM). I've searched for dash pads but come up empty handed as well. I tried the dealer and they quoted me $1000 for the dash board, no installation.

Coverlay makes a dash "cap" that one of the members installed in the cracked dash thread. I looks really good and I think will be my next step. JC Whitney sells them fir $179 less what ever coupon you use.

Thank you, I'll have a look. I saw those but couldn't get any good pics of them installed so I don't want to pull the trigger just yet. Just afraid it would bulge out too far and look funny.

If anyone has pics, I'd love to see.
