Anyone use blind spot mirrors ?

as a side benefit of doing this setup, when you have an idiot with mis-adjusted headlights or hi-beams on, your not blinded by your side mirrors at night.

Passion is good, bashing someone over installing a couple of spot mirrors is a little over the top, If serious. Just MHO.
 
The wifey's new Accord has a clever driver's side mirror. The outside edge of the mirror has a convex section. Clever. And not misogynistic, either.

awesome idea for some probably. I know it wouldn't work for me. it would screw with my eye focus to much. as my eye focus is getting worse year after year I tend to notice some weird stuff more than you normal folks. be glad you don't have focus issues.

my late Subaru legacy had a weird spot in the rear window that when looking thru the rear view mirror would produce a weird convex. my eyes would get so screwy I couldn't look out the rearview mirror.
 
Blind spot mirror

I am a new 4Runner owner and this is my 1st post on this forum. I Just installed the blind spot mirrors that were mentioned in this thread. It is a really easy install and looks really good. Thanks for the help, and I looks forward to lots more help from you guys.

Oh nice, I like how seamless those look. I'll have to go pick one up to see if I like it or not.

Those look nice, Johnathan! Do they make those shaped ones for the bottom of the mirror?

I have them on my truck, I usually put them on anything larger than a sedan. They are helpful on the road, but I usually turn and look over my shoulder before merging.

They ARE helpful, when I'm parking in a spot to make sure my truck is straight in the spot! And to see the lines on the road if you should need to. To each their own.
 
Blind spot mirrors are like the American Express card...don't leave home without them. But they gotta be with a metal trim, the plastic ones crack up after a few years, learned the hard way. This was the first add-on when the t4r came home, located in the lower outer corners.
 
I've had the same one on my 300ZX for over 17 years, and it was on there when I bought it used.

Plastic.

Where did you buy these? I like the flush look as well, better than the fish eye.
 
I swear by these convex mirrors. I get the 3 inch mirrors (SO much better than the smaller 2 inch) and stick them on the bottom corner closest to the vehicle. Seems to get the best field of view in my opinion. They are a must have for me...especially when reversing into parking spots with curbs!
 
I've had these on numerous vehicles in the past and found them quite convenient. I tried them on my SR5 but took them off and got used to the factory mirror set up. It's all good, just didn't like the way they looked.
