Anyone catch Sunday's episode?
It would have been really neat to see a 4runner in this competition. I laughed my ass off!
Tanner, Rutledge and Adam compete in an epic 400-mile journey from the Mojave Desert to Las Vegas in an attempt to identify the best 4x4 you can buy for $5,000.

Yep . I record and watch them all and watched it this morning. I'd bet any 4X4 4Runner would have had no problems except it's hard to find one for under 5 grand which their limit to spend was.
Damn I missed it! Who won?
We can't tell ya! lol The link above lets you watch the whole show.......and it was pretty good/funny!!

It was hilarious especially after Rut tried to follow Tanner's maneuvers while pulling his trailer. :lmao:

The out of the box thinking and creativity to get across the last restriction/obstacle was great. Adam is a bonehead in all respects. They should replace him with someone else.

Overall, it was one of the better US Top Gear episodes.

:iagree: Adam is "the wrecker" and he sticks to his name by totalling every vehicle he drives: the cadillac's frame bent in falf, his "monster car" literally caught on fire and now the Broncos axle!! Loved the episode! Rut's idea with the carpet was unbelievable! Wish i had a DVR!! :redbrick:

I just watched the episode from the link above. It was very entertaining and funny. I gave up on the U.S. version of Top Gear last season, as I thought it was tacky. Maybe I will start watching again though. Thanks for bringing this episode to my attention.

I was dying, especially when they attempted the first rocky incline. Did any see the one "Americas top truck"? They had an older ford, chevy, and dodge racing to some glacier in Alaska. The safety vehicle following the other three in case they had trouble was a Toyota. I thought that was awesome.

The last couple of episodes are an improvement......... I'm rooting for them.

But yeah, nobody beats Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. British Buffoonery at its finest!!! hahahhahaha

Ed

ps: I'm actually watching a rerun on BBC America right now............

Were I live you could get a lifted 1st gen for under 5k wich I think could have done better then all those three

Yep, there are alot of 80 series LC here for between 3-5k too. Saw a 95 with front a rear lockers for 4500 on CL a few weeks back. That would have dominated.

That was fun to watch. The terrain wasn't that rough but they made it fun to watch. The jeep won the "off-road" part and carried the trailer the farthest, but the Chevy won. If the ford guy knew had to drive I bet he would have one. The part that surprised me was the Jeep beat the Chevy in the drag race.

I saw that one too :) Loved it!

He was driving the "O.J. Bronco". The K5 Blazer got through it all without a hitch. I didn't think any 3 of the methods used to cross the pavement would go as planned, but the carpet tank track worked flawless!

Funny stuff, I watched it over lunch, people at work must think I'm nuts! Thanks for the thread.

"Taste like ass", not sure the last time I laughed that hard.
