GO UP TO TAHOE!!!...i grew up in San Anselmo...then moved to Tahoe...now i dont do any mods that'll effect my off roadin in a bad way like u see in alotta the T4Rs in the city...some trails are mild...but if u have someone like one of my buddies next to u...just pointin where he wants u to drive...it can get pretty interesting...and a little dangerous...

And below San Fran bay area, there is Hollister Hills.
If you are a beginner offroader like me, I would think these places would be a good place to start.
My first offroading experience was in Death Valley...only on lighter trails, but still a little scary...especially doing it alone...

yeah im a beginner i live in santa rosa like 60 miles north of sf so im kinda looking for things to wheel around here but thanks o and if someone could tell me a good lift kit to get for my 1990 4runner that would be awsome i dont have alot of money and i want like 3-4inches of lift i want to put 33's on it so if someone could help with that 2 taht would be awsome thanks

im thinkin about gettin the Old Man Emu lift for my 94...heard good things about it...check out their stuff on the arb website...
