Anything better than Cooper Discoverer for snow/noise?

Look into the Nokian Rotivas, all season, extreme condition tire, I put them on my company trucks, runner, and the list goes on. I actually run them in the summer and switch to the Nokian Hakaplita suv5 studded for the winter.

I installed Cooper Discoverer AT3's last fall. Our winter last year in Saskatchewan Canada was the worst/longest I can remember. The Coopers were great in snow and on ice. They ride well and throw little to no rocks on gravel roads. The only time I got stuck last winter was when it was so high centered the tires were not touching the ground. They seem to be wearing very well too and the price can't be beat.

For what it is worth.... here is my 2 cents....


BFG is 20 year old out dated technology its a great tire that does " good" at most things but not great at any one thing.......

BFG has a new AT that is being introduced soon to follow the new MT. Tire plant near my house has been building them for launch for quite some time now.

Might consider the Kelly Safari TSR's. They are an aggressive AT tire and a brother to the Duratracs. My understanding is that the TSR's have a harder rubber compound for longer wear. They have very little road noise.
