The factory tie down loops are not meant for recovery. They're merely there to secure the car when it's being transported.

Yeah I always thought it was weird when people would mount these D-rings to them. Obviously, they did it just for looks.

I had to remove both sides of the sway bar to get them in. I could not squeeze them in by removing one side.

Its a debated topic for sure but haven't seen one fail myself yet. I think the 4th gen ones had a few failure cases but they werent welded/constructed the some way as the 5th gen ones are. A few of the 5th gen folks I know who frequent difficult trails like the Rubicon have sworn by the factory tie downs and have used them to recovery quite a bit. With a bridle, I think you should be fine but thats ultimately up to you.
