Appearance protection pkg

Just purchased my first 4Runner, an SR5. They are offering a rust perforation 10 yr warranty, surface rust 6 yr warrant, paint protection 6 yr warrant, and interior protection 5 yr warranty for a cost of $750.

Does anyone recommend this? I can buy one or all of these.

Not worth it. These dealer add ons are over priced. Save your money.

All this rust proving and similar guarantees are just scams.

Did Toyota do such a crappy job painting and protecting metal surfaces that you need to hire somebody to do it right because Toyota screwed up?

Even general motors aka crap on wheels clearly spells out in their warranty: We do not recommend any additional rustproofing, sprays or coatings. Additional rustproofing will void all warranties.

Trust me if additional coating or rustproofing was needed on a Toyota product, it would have been done at the factory.

buy a couple bottles...and for a lot less than 750 bucks you'll paint will look better and be better protected.
