Apple needs to give them a backdoor. Very surprised at you people on this forum.

I think "crazy" is giving bad people a powerful device with serious capabilities with no backdoor that can't be cracked.

I get it. There's no perfect solution and I respect your opinion......but crack the phone and protect the code or whatever you needed to do it like a deadly strain of Ebola.

that's not what the FBI is asking for. they want apple to produce something that doesn't exist, that will affect ALL their phones. they are ordering them to build a product.

John McAfee has already said he will crack THAT specific phone for FREE. the FBI has not responded, because that's not what they want. they want access to all of them. NOT OK.

and, I do not agree with that last line. its not security versus phone, its security versus privacy.

This is silly, what he may have fathomed is irrelevant. He's saying that you cannot have complete liberty and complete security at the same time, they're antithetical - the more you want of one, the more you give up of the other. Ben Franklin said something very similar, and it doesn't matter whether or not they knew about cell phones, the fact applies to this discussion and every other.

Did you also see the very last piece of the clip after the interview? The Federal government does not want the code or software or "secret" and wants Apple to be the only one to know of it and secure it.
