ARB Air Compressor

I just picked up an ARB air Compressor and now need to figure out where to install it.

I see some people installed them under the hood, but I just installed a dual battery on the passenger side rear. Maybe near the fuse box? I placed the National Luna Dual batter control near hear and want to instal a relay box in that area. I was thinking in the rear of the 4runner in the little cubby. How would I mount it?

Anyone have pictures where they installed their compressor?

+1 for Slee.

I used the rear passenger side of the engine bay for the Shrockworks washer reservoir so that the oem bottle wasn't exposed after the bumper install. It also has mounting provisions for the manifold, should you want to lock any of your differentials and run an aux air line as well.

+2 for Slee. I do love this bracket but I will say that it makes access to the drivers side firewall grommet a real PITA and that should be considered when buying this. Having said that, if you have something like a Switchpros unit or Spod (or just don't wire up accessories at all), you won't need to be fishing wires through the grommet all the time since you just attach the wires in the engine bay. Anyways, just my .02

He does have a point. I installed every other accessory (lights, & comms) that I needed to the Switchpro before installing the bracket and compressor. After the fact, access to the grommet isn't impossible, just very discouraging.

5 buttons for lights, 1 button for comms, 1 button for compressor, 1 button for locker solenoid.

I like the engine bay location idea, but not sure I have a place to mount it. If you look at the picture, I am using the wheel well are for a national luna solenoid. I do see a place that a wiring harness is screwed in the floor of the engine bay that I might be able to use.

I did run wiring for my ARB fridge today and another line for the compressor If I go with the little cubby area. If I use the cubby area I might be able to add a 1gal tank with it.

With a little fabrication you could make your own mount as I did for single piston compressor compared to dual. Still have good access to firewall grommet for wiring. But your solenoid could be an issue for space.
