Hey guys, I've done some searching on this topic and I couldn't seem to find any ideas so I figured I'd ask here.
I want to install an ARB bull bar and winch on my stock 2002 4runner. The combination would weigh about 150lbs. Obviously, this is gonna sag my suspension and ruin my ride quality on and off road.
Is there any suspension setup where I could keep my stock height and still have the truck perform well under the new constant load weight?
If there is nothing that will leave me at stock height, I am willing to lift 2-2.5 inches so that I can have the benefits of a lift without having to extend brake lines or mess with the panhard bar or any of that stuff. Right now it's my DD and it will be for a few years, and I don't want to do some massive lift and 33's because it will ruin the ride of what is right now an insanely comfortable truck.
I haven't needed a lift or massive tires for off roading yet either, and I've been out a few times. The truck is very fun and capable in stock form I've done mud, mild rocks, hill climbs, and water (diff breather relocation coming soon!) without a problem so far, which is amazing!. I just need a winch so I can really test it's limits, as I am 95% of the time wheeling by myself or without another vehicle.
All input is welcome. Thanks guys
TL;DR: I want to run an ARB Bull Bar and Winch up front without sacrificing ride quality on or off road, and I don't want a huge amount of lift (3-3.5 in). I'd like to stay at stock height, or 2'' max. If the front suspension lifts me 2 inches, I'll put 99 tall coils in the back which will level me out (99 talls will lift my 2002 2 inches)
Pics of my truck, which is pretty much my favorite thing in the world
